No Turning Back

We started out the day @7am with Nikki going down to get her first dose of radiation. The procedure marks the realization that there is no going back. The radiation will destroy all of Nikki's bone marrow that she currently has. So, she has to get the transplant now because her current bone marrow would never recover by itself. Kind of a scary day for both of us. Her mother came up today later on in the day, as I went home to hang out with Ryker and gave Nikki a chance to see Ryker on our webcam. Nikki's spirits today were a little mixed with ups and downs. We are ending the day with good feelings and no sorrow at this point in the day. We would ask that you pray for Nikki to get through these next couple of days of immune suppression, with little to no negative effects. Please ask the Lord to start preparing her body to accept the new cells without a glitch. We hope everyone has a blessed day and we will talk tomorrow. God Bless.
