Focus, Daniel Son!

Today was or first semblance of a good day. We finally worked out a schedule and can focus on exactly what Nikki needs to do while here in the hospital, which she controls (eating and working out). Nikki completed her four days of radiation, twice a day today. She in all had eight treatments and so far is doing well. Nikki remains physically and mentally strong thus far. We walked about 2.5 miles today in a hall that consists of 91 feet one way (I will let you do the math as to how many round trips up and down the hall). We watched a movie tonight and she hit her calorie input needed to keep the dietitian away and keep her continuing to eat normal food. We are going into this weekend with a positive beat and pray that we can maintain that feeling for at least a day. Nikki started making some cranes out of origami. If you don't know there is a myth that started with a young Japanese girl. An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by a crane, such as long life or recovery from illness or injury. We don't really believe in this myth but, it is something that we never new. Please send cards as you have, so we can continue encouraging Nikki through this journey. We specifically ask that everyone pray that Nikki gets through this last stint of Chemotherapy flawlessly. God Bless and everyone enjoy their weekend.
