That's all she wrote

Today was a very good day for Nikki. She, for the first time since the beginning got to leave Grover behind. She went through her last day of treatment on Chemo. The induction period is over and now we wait to see how effective the treatment was. She got to take a shower today for the first time without having to bring Grover with her. We are now expecting her red blood cells to follow on a downward trend with her WBC. Today she registered 236 WBC and today she also saw the first decline in her platelets which is also expected. Overall today was one her best days to date she was upbeat and talkative and alot of that had to do with the fact she is now done with the first phase of this long journey. The other reason is Nikki received numerous cards and gifts from various people so thank you, and please keep the cards and memento's coming as much as possible it makes a huge difference.
