Nikki had another great jump in numbers last night. She continues to amaze the physicians as her numbers doubled yet again (Praise God). Her ANC's are now at 652. Her body rash is subsiding however she had a little spike in fever today, but it went away quickly. Her spirits today were good and the hope of going home now seems to be getting closer. We are really not sure as to when and we don't really want a specific date, because we don't want a disappointment to deal with. We just want to know that she is doing well, and as she approaches her discharge date, there will be four key indicators:
1. Fever free for 24 hours
2. All of her IV fluids need to be converted to a pill form.
3. Her ANC's need to be at a 1000 for two days in a row.
4. The GVH needs to be under control.
Our prayer request is that she goes home soon, but that when she goes home, we stay there. Nikki and I had a great talk last night and we both agree that she needs to get as healthy as she can in the hospital, so she has a greater chance of long term success and survival. God Bless.
