The Results Are In

The results from the consultation today were very informative. We spent an hour and a half with the doctor and found out that we will need to have a bone marrow transplant or stem cell. We found out that Nikki will have to get one because of the FLIT3 results. We are thankful however that the news tended to be reassuring that the survival rate once administered is favorable. We also found out that Nikki will be going in for her consolidation on Monday and that she will not need to go through all four consolidations if we are taking the road of the transplant. How many of the consolidations that are needed is still up in the air depending on how quickly we can get the data that we need from Nikki and her siblings. I will be updating the Blog again on Thursday if we find something new out from her Doctor, otherwise if there is no entry we are status quot until we get to the hospital on Monday and then we will update everyone again.
